Do I need a doctor's order?
Not for eligible tests. Arizona law lets you order your own lab tests directly. If your employer, school or civil surgeon has special paperwork, bring it with you.
Will my employer or school accept the blood test?
Many programs accept the QuantiFERON blood test in place of a skin test, but requirements vary. Check with your program, employer or civil surgeon before you order.
Does the BCG vaccine affect the result?
No. The QuantiFERON blood test is not affected by a prior BCG vaccination, unlike the skin test, which can give a false positive.
How long do results take?
Results are typically ready in 24 to 72 hours. Ask our team if you have a deadline.
Do I need to fast?
No special preparation is needed for the TB blood test. Walk in during our hours and we will take your sample.
What does a positive result mean?
A positive result means TB infection may be present. It does not by itself mean active TB disease. Follow up with a healthcare provider about next steps.

The QuantiFERON-TB Gold Plus test is $115. A $15 blood draw fee is added at checkout, so the total is $130. We are self-pay only and do not bill insurance. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
